I do

Ahh, such a sweet event.

My friend Lady Rose is my guest blogger for the Royal Wedding Coverage......

"Such a grand event!  Loved the dress.....loved the words Bishop of England said...told my daughter to write those down!!  She looks beautiful...and he so handsome!  You can tell he is thinking about his mother.  I was crying!"

Gray is my least favorite color

I feel like I am inside a black and white TV.  I need a little high definition in my life!

Yeah, that's exactly what I had in mind!

Really?

I know I have already used the above picture, but something happened over the weekend and this phrase took on a new meaning.  Sitting around on the couch relaxing, ipad in my hand, everyone else gazing into their iphone, laptop.  Quiet family bonding time.  I made the statement that I wanted to be an event planner.  Chuckling came from the other side of the couch.  Then in a little girl sounding impression came:  "I want to be an event planner when I grow up"
What did that mean, I thought.  She is making fun of me!!!!  I glanced over at my youngest  and said in a displeasing voice- "what!  you think I am too old?"  Yeesssss, in a condescending voice.
Do you think it's too late for me?   There was that Yeessss again.  Wind was out of my sails.
Kids, they say the darndnest things!  I think the little brat needs a spanking!  Wow.... I better grow up fast, life is passing me by!

Only 2 more days until the wedding!
What are you going to wear?

Are you getting up early on Friday and having tea to celebrate?

At first I thought all the attention to the "Wedding of the Century" was silly.  Why do we care?  I remember back to when Charles and Diana wed in dramatic fashion, all the same drama was associated with that wedding as well.  What is she going to wear, who is invited, and so on and so on.  The coverage was enough to make your head spin.  Not unlike that summer day in 1981, Friday will be much the same.  Crazy as it seems, the marriage of William and Kate are a sweet diversion from the woes of the world.  I balked at the cost of such an elaborate affair, but really think of how it is a boost to the economy and mental well being of the lad and lassies of jolly old England.   The money generated from the press alone is mind boggling.

As Danielle Steel once said  "If you see the magic in a fairy tale, you can face the future." It just might be what we all need right now.  It gives hope to fairy tales,  and that just maybe they can live happily ever after.  So instead of resisting the event, maybe we should embrace it and the moment of what "life isn't about"  and pretend and daydream for just one day.  William and Kate help to keep the magical story of Cinderella and every little girls dream of  meeting her prince charming, get married and living happily ever after possible.  Because without it, nothing is possible; with it, one can do anything.

So Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo!  Have a Cinderelli Day!

In honor of the big wedding on Friday, Use your royal wedding guest name. Start with either Lord or Lady. Your first name is one of your grandparents' names. Your surname is the name of your first pet, double-barreled with the name of the street you grew up on. Cordially, Lady Elizabeth Whitey-Parke Lane.

Michigan Weather Gnome is at it again

Watching it snow.... yes SNOW.  Celebrated Spring yesterday...or so I thought, with a Bunny Brunch.  Joke is on us!  Had a few guests at the table yesterday, with family here and there, we had a little room to share.  Haven't prepared a brunch in a long time, but with the girls schedules we had to make it an early one.  Managed to pull off vegetarian without any complaints.  Here is a look at the buffet table...Enjoy.

Sunshine and Lollypops

It was a teaser!  That's OK.  I'd rather have one glorious day than nada.  Puts a little spring in your step.
All signs of Spring were spinning and swirling around yesterday.  Out came the lawn furniture, a little clean up in the yard, putting away the snow shovel and salt,  hitting the road for a little spin, taking off the dogs clothes, stuffy head, pedicure time, turning off the heat, people out and about, fishermen, The Masters,  and  bikes out front of Sav On.  Finally, all the signs that it is almost here.  We have our foot in the door and by golly, that door will not close again.  So tease me, that’s Ok, I loved it – bring it on!  I dare you.
