Only 2 more days until the wedding!
What are you going to wear?
Are you getting up early on Friday and having tea to celebrate?
At first I thought all the attention to the "Wedding of the Century" was silly. Why do we care? I remember back to when Charles and Diana wed in dramatic fashion, all the same drama was associated with that wedding as well. What is she going to wear, who is invited, and so on and so on. The coverage was enough to make your head spin. Not unlike that summer day in 1981, Friday will be much the same. Crazy as it seems, the marriage of William and Kate are a sweet diversion from the woes of the world. I balked at the cost of such an elaborate affair, but really think of how it is a boost to the economy and mental well being of the lad and lassies of jolly old England. The money generated from the press alone is mind boggling.
As Danielle Steel once said "If you see the magic in a fairy tale, you can face the future." It just might be what we all need right now. It gives hope to fairy tales, and that just maybe they can live happily ever after. So instead of resisting the event, maybe we should embrace it and the moment of what "life isn't about" and pretend and daydream for just one day. William and Kate help to keep the magical story of Cinderella and every little girls dream of meeting her prince charming, get married and living happily ever after possible. Because without it, nothing is possible; with it, one can do anything.
So Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo! Have a Cinderelli Day!
